Transferring and repositioning people in care facilities make long-term health related care one of the most dangerous jobs in the country. Has your facility eliminated manual transfers – if not, you may have higher operating costs while exposing your staff to severe injuries? High turnover, above average workers’ comp rates, and overtime all can be a result of unsafe manual transfers. Additionally, your quality of care can suffer as manual transfers can result in more skin tears, falls, and broken bones to your patients and residents.
